Industrial applications
Markets and materials.
Technology selection depends on feedstock analysis, the products sought and technical, environmental and regulatory requirements. These are the streams we work with.
PS-13 · End-of-life tires
NFU · 01
End-of-life tires
- The problem
- They take up space, do not degrade, collect water and disease vectors and are burned illegally. Extended producer responsibility laws require importers and producers to prove their recovery.
- The solution
- Pyrolysis recovering oil, recovered carbon black, steel and process gas, with batch traceability for reporting to the management scheme.
Outcomes
- Pyrolysis oil
- Recovered carbon black
- Steel
- Recovery certificates
Who it is for
- Collective tire management schemes
- Importers and distributors
- Municipalities and waste managers
- Mining and fleets with OTR tires
PS-14 · Selected plastics
PLA · 02
Selected plastics
- The problem
- Mixed or dirty fractions have little value for mechanical recycling and end up in landfills or the environment.
- The solution
- Pyrolysis of polyolefins and technically suitable blends to obtain an oil that can return to the chain as fuel or feedstock. Other resins require specific evaluation.
Outcomes
- Pyrolysis oil
- Process gas
- Carbonaceous residue
Who it is for
- Recyclers and sorting plants
- Producers under packaging EPR
- Petrochemical industry
PS-15 · Biomass and agro-industry
BIO · 03
Biomass and agro-industry
- The problem
- Bagasse, rice husk, palm, coffee, cocoa and wood residues are burned in the open or stockpiled, with handling costs and emissions.
- The solution
- Carbonization to produce biochar and heat, or gasification for on-site power and heat, depending on the business goal.
Outcomes
- Biochar and charcoal
- Power and heat
- Carbon removal credits
Who it is for
- Sugar mills, rice mills and palm oil mills
- Sawmills and forestry industry
- Agricultural cooperatives
- Carbon project developers
PS-16 · Sludge and biosolids
LOD · 04
Sludge and biosolids
- The problem
- Wastewater sludge is bulky and costly to dispose of, and its direct land application is increasingly restricted.
- The solution
- Drying and carbonization to reduce volume and obtain a stable solid, subject to sludge characterization and local regulation.
Outcomes
- Volume reduction
- Stable carbonized solid
- Heat for drying
Who it is for
- Water and sanitation utilities
- Food and paper industry
PS-21 · Energy and industrial processes
ENE · 05
Energy and industrial processes
- The problem
- Plants with high heat or power demand depend on imported fossil fuels or an unreliable grid.
- The solution
- Thermal system integration, process gas use and energy recovery from residues available on site.
Outcomes
- Electricity
- Steam and hot water
- Fossil fuel substitution
Who it is for
- Cement plants and industrial kilns
- Agro-industry with drying
- Remote operations
